Melody Sue Adams

Melody Sue Adams, 52, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Erlander Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

She was born on April 18, 1974 in Terre Haute, Indiana, the daughter of Ronnie Joe English and Norma L. Throneburg English. She was preceded in death by her father, her first husband, Darryl Mays and a brother, Troy English.

Surviving are her mother of Albion, Illinois; three children, Mercedes (Alex) Haynes of Albion, IL, Sierra Adams of Patoka, IN and Trevor Adams of Chattanooga, TN; a grandchild, Hope Adams.; siblings, Rhonda (Scott) Heleine of West Union, IL, Dee (Jeff) Davis of Patoka, IN, Tammy (Mark) Pittenger of Marshall, IL, Ed Miller of Marshall, IL and Debra English of Patoka, IN; her mother-in-law, Carol Matsel of Patoka, IN and several nieces and nephews.

Melody was a graduate of Edwards County High School at Albion, IL and was employed by Yanfeng at Chatanooga.

Visitation was held from 12 Noon to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23rd at Pearce Funeral Home with a service in honor of her life at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Wayne Wester officiated.
