I have worn many hats, but contributor to a publication is pretty special! I’ve always enjoyed a good story, but I didn’t really gain an appreciation for the importance of it until my 10 years living in Cajun Country! Louisiana thrives on written and oral story telling to preserve history, culture and to pass a good time!
I am currently an Associate agent for Jim Blue COUNTRY Financial in Paris, IL. This role gives me the opportunity to meet many different types of people and to learn more about our area in general.
When I’m not at work, I love spending time in my garden, hiking in State and National Parks, and fiercely supporting my husband and two boys.
To nurture my background in Recreation & Sports Management, I recently joined Friends of Lincoln Trail State Park as a volunteer to assist with projects and activities at Lincoln Trail State Park.
The idea of connecting people to nature and recreation is my favorite highlight of this opportunity. I look forward learning more about how journalism can be a bridge for that connection!
