Marshall’s North Number Streets are getting into the Halloween spirit! Homes along North 7th, North 8th and surrounding streets are decorated for the season, welcoming another year of costumes, candy and neighborhood festivities.
The neighborhood is a popular destination for trick-or-treaters, and residents are looking forward to celebrating Halloween with familiar faces and new neighbors alike.
Trick-or-Treat Hours
The City of Marshall has announced official trick-or-treat hours for Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. throughout the city.
Halloween Safety
The North Number Streets can become especially busy on Halloween night. Many neighborhood streets are narrow, sometimes allowing only one vehicle to pass comfortably at a time. Residents encourage families to explore the neighborhood on foot whenever possible rather than drive from house to house.
Motorists should slow down, remain alert for children in dark costumes, watch for pedestrians crossing streets and exercise extra caution around families pushing strollers.
The City of Marshall also reminds families to carry flashlights or glow sticks, add reflective accessories to costumes and make sure younger children are accompanied by a responsible adult. Parents should inspect Halloween treats before children eat them and be mindful of food allergies.
Trick-or-treaters are encouraged to visit homes with porch lights on, use designated walkways and respect neighboring properties. A little patience and extra caution from everyone will help make Halloween safe and enjoyable throughout the community.
Visitors are also invited to stop by 709 N. 8th Street, home of Bob Dawg of ROLE MODEL Plumbing, to see the ongoing restoration of the historic D.D. Doll House mansion and its matching replica across the street.
Have fun, stay visible, look out for one another and enjoy a safe Halloween!
