An Update on the Clark County Post

An Update on the Clark County Post

Over the last several months, many people have asked the same question:

“Is the Clark County Post still happening?”

The answer is yes. Absolutely.

In fact, a tremendous amount of work has been happening behind the scenes to build the foundation for something sustainable, reliable, and worthy of the community it serves.

The goal of the Clark County Post has never been to throw together another social media page chasing clicks. The goal is to build a real local news organization focused on Clark County communities, local government, schools, events, businesses, and the people who live here.

That takes more than simply publishing articles.

It requires systems, workflows, organization, consistency, and long-term planning.

Over the past year, much of the work has focused on building that foundation properly. That has included website development, publishing systems, content organization, operational planning, and learning how to manage a growing media project in a sustainable way.

Part of that process also included taking time to pursue formal Project Management (CAPM) training. That decision was intentional. If the Clark County Post is going to grow into a serious long-term publication, it needs to be managed professionally and strategically from the beginning instead of constantly operating in crisis mode.

The vision remains the same:

  • Independent local journalism
  • Coverage of local government and community issues
  • Support for local businesses and organizations
  • A combination of digital publishing and future print goals
  • A publication built for the community rather than algorithms

There is still a great deal of work ahead, but progress is being made every week.

As the project continues to move forward, it is now time to begin accepting community support and donations to help offset operational costs, hosting, equipment, software, printing preparation, and continued development.

If you would like to support the Clark County Post, donations may now be sent through PayPal or by mail to:

Every bit of support helps move this project closer to becoming a stronger and more sustainable local news source for Clark County.

Most importantly: thank you.

Thank you to everyone who has continued to read, share articles, offer encouragement, send tips, contribute ideas, and believe that local journalism still matters.

It does.

And this is only the beginning.
