John A. Gamble

John A. Gamble, 82, of Marshall, Illinois passed away at his home on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

He was born December 6, 1943 in Xenia, Ohio, the son of Vern and Kathryn Harburger Gamble who preceded him in death as well as a brother, Don.

Surviving are his wife Donna Downs Gamble; two sons, Mark (Theresa) Gamble of Marshall, IL and Scott (Margaret) Gamble of Freedom, IN; grandchildren, Katie Youngblood, Cody Gamble, Chelsea (Jeff) Lopez, Corey Gamble, Collin Gamble and Caden Gamble and two great grandchildren, Strider Youngblood and Fletcher Cole.

He had formerly been employed by United Machine and Tool, AP Machine and Tool and retired from Duke Energy. John served this country in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1967.

Services in honor of his life will be 11:00 a.m. (Central) on Friday, August 21, 2026 at Pearce Funeral Home. Visitation will be one-hour prior services. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery at Terre Haute, Indiana.

A gathering for family and friends will follow at the Fraternal Order Of The Eagles, 823 Poplar St., Terre Haute, Indiana.
