A self-guided tour invites visitors to step back in time across multiple historic sites
The Clark County Historical Society invites the community to take part in a unique journey through local history with its upcoming “Passport to History” event on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
From 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, this self-guided tour offers visitors the opportunity to explore multiple historical sites across Clark County—all in a single day.

Participants will travel at their own pace between museum locations in both Marshall and Martinsville, experiencing firsthand the stories, structures, and artifacts that preserve the county’s rich heritage.
Clark County Historical Museum
One highlight of this year’s tour is the opportunity to view the recently restored Baggs Log Cabin, a piece of history that reflects the craftsmanship and daily life of early settlers.
Chancellor House

Featured stops include several notable sites in Marshall, along with Martinsville locations such as the Chancellor House and the Lincoln School.
Each destination offers a glimpse into a different chapter of local history—from early education to pioneer life—bringing the past vividly into the present.
